Matt,
Congratulations on the first Skamania County record of a
Long-tailed Jaeger.
I'm not surprised that you found indications of another Acorn
Woodpecker granary tree in Klickitat County since the birds have been
breeding there for about a decade. I've wondered when the population of
these woodpeckers would increase to the point where a second colony would
be established. There may be one out there now but not yet located, so
birders keep your eyes open when birding in the gorge.
