Greets Tweets,
Reporting in like a dutiful twitcher, I'm reporting that my wife and I made the jaunt over to Bottle Beach today in pursuit of the famed Northern Parula that was seen there on Saturday evening. We checked fairly thoroughly in the AM from about 10:45 to 11:30, just ahead of a light rain shower, then again around 4 ish in the afternoon, when we bumped into the Sullivans. Together we had no luck on the Parula. We did see some nice, but expected passerines in behind the front row of brush and trees along the shore. My wife picked up 5 life birds for the day when we ran down to Tokeland to watch the Godwits. (No, we did NOT see the Black-tailed Gull, but we tried!) She is now at 150 birds and starting to get that itch........ We can only hope!
