Hi,
I slogged around Damon Point, Ocean Shores, on Saturday slightly before
the fogs, mists and rains hit, and saw a nice group of eight GOLDEN
PLOVERS at the old pond, God rest its soul. (And not much else of note,
except a Peregrine).

It seemed to me that these were Pacifics, and that there were mixed ages,
including some birds of the year. According to Dennis' book, that would be
very early for 1Y Pacifics.

Has anyone else seen them? I would love to know what they really are! It's
funny, but the older I get, the less sure I am with troublesome
identifications.
