A dark morph sub-adult PARASITIC JAEGER was reported at the Walla Walla
River Delta on August 22 by Mike Denny. The bird was last seen heading east
up the Walla Walla River channel. The delta is in western Walla Walla Co
and can be accessed 0.1 mile north of Madame Dorian Park. There's a pull-out
along US 12 at milepost 306.9 and a path to the delta. WA DeLorme 40, D-1.

Also reported by Mike Denny on Aug. 22, a sub-adult FRANKLIN'S GULL was at
the Tyson Slop ponds in western Walla Walla county. The 2 WHITE-FACED IBIS
are still present at the middle pond. A PEREGRINE FALCON was also patrolling
these ponds.

The McCain ponds outside of Othello, WA had 11 STILT SANDPIPERS among a
large assortment of other sandpipers on August 21, according to Bob Flores.
>From Othello go north on Broadway (west end of town extending north from WA
24) past the processing and storage facilities and as the road crosses the
RR tracks it becomes McManamon Road. The McCain ponds are above the Para
Ponds which are on either side of this road. WA DeLorme 53, B-7.

The Para Ponds and McCain Ponds have also had a patrolling PEREGRINE FALCON.

Craig Corder has reported a MERLIN migrating through his property outside of
Cheney, WA on August 20.

A migrating BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER was located among other passerine
migrants on the Yakama Reservation by Kerry Turley on August 22. The area
birded by Kerry was on the Yakama Reservation along Harrah Dr. Rd. near the
Willows Hunt Club.

Good birding!
