On 8/25/04 I received a call about a colorful bird that has been
coming to a feeder along the Columbia River on the west edge of Camas,
Clark County. I checked the bird out and it appears to be a Bishop, the
most likely species would be a Red Bishop, except that it has a black
mask instead of black going up onto the forehead. Doing a little surfing
for images the closest match I came to was a Fire-crowned Bishop. I will
try and do a little more research and attempt to obtain a photo. The
homeowner is not open to the idea of visitors.
