Don't know if anyone else noticed it but Charlie Wright really must have hit
a migrant fallout with low pressure, southerlies and rain. Although N.
Waterthrush are always notable in in fall migration here, what really got my
attention was the numbers for Warbling (60) and Red-eyed (19) Vireos.
Anyone out there correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe both or at least the
Red-eyed Vireos are all-time fall migrant highs for any site in WA. I don't
remember ever running into more than one or two Red-eyeds in fall migration
over the years on the westside, and I don't recall ever getting more than 15
Warblings, although at preferred passage points I know it happens. The 50
Yellows was high but not eye-popping like the vireos.

Suggests that breeding northward was better than average to me in this dry,
warmer-than-average breeding season that we had. Can't wait til my turn to
get out there in Sept.
