There is a very-good website w/ maps, directions, and explanations
about the Foothills Trail. Click on www.piercecountytrails.org For
more info and to get the big picture, click on "maps". You also
can click on the little diamonds along the trail for more details.
Charlie Wright has found this trail in a valley between ridges to be
very-good birding during fall migration. Of course we have never seen
a N WATERTHRUSH there before... (See Charlie's report to Tweets on
Aug 25).
These Rails to Trails sytems are really developing down in Pierce
County.
