Realizing that I work only about a mile away from Idylwood Park at Lake
Sammamish, I decided to stop by there over lunch to check for the Black
Tern. The non-breeding plumaged bird was still there, associating with the
many Barn Swallows. So was an adult Red-necked Grebe in breeding plumage
further out. A Bald Eagle was sitting in one of the Cottonwoods at the
lakeshore.
