12:56pm start - Incoming tide with higher mudflats still visible (a minus 1.9 tide occurred at 9:16am; high tide at about 5pm)
1:29pm end

Tweeters,
Overcast, and mild today at Turning Basin #3. Two OSPREYS and a PEREGRINE FALCON were on the west-bank power tower at Hamm Creek when I started. One of the Ospreys came upriver and landed at the water's edge near the goose exclusion area. It stood in the water for quite some time, then proceeded to bathe, after which it took off, twice dropping down while shaking off water, and flew to the highest pole next to the pier across the way (near the Quonset hut). It stood with spread wings for a brief time, then started to preen.

Two GREEN-WINGED TEAL were with some Mallards in the stormwater channel behind the restoration area.

Birds seen during this scan include the following:
Mallard (24)
Green-winged Teal (2)
Great Blue Heron
Osprey (2)
Peregrine Falcon
Glaucous-winged Gull (6)
Rock Pigeon (10)
Belted Kingfisher
American Crow (3)
Barn Swallow
European Starling (300)
Song Sparrow (2; one of which appeared to be a juvenile)

May all your birds be identified,
