I spent about four hours on Saturday, August 28th looking for the
Snowy Egrets at the Ridgefield N.W.R. without any luck. The water levels
are up after all of the rain and the shorebirds that are still there are
limited to the few muddy spots in the center of Rest Lake.
There were at least 8 BLACK SWIFTS among the swallows over Rest
Lake in midmorning.
