Sunday, August 29th, we had a few VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS over our
home today accompanied by 3 BLACK SWIFTS. there are still a couple of
this year's RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS coming to our feeders and one juvenile
BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK showed up today after not seeing any since the rain
began.
In the afternoon I conducted the Steigerwald Lake N.W.R. census
(Clark County) and found one female BUFFLEHEAD, 3 BLACK SWIFTS (over the
fields along Highway 14), a total of 49 PURPLE MARTINS, and 2 LINCOLN'S
SPARROWS.
