Hi Alyssa,

The bird in the picture is definitely a Red-tail. The dark eyes would point
to an adult but it's belly band and white breast are very obvious so it could
be a second year Red-tail molting into it's adult plumage.
The distinguishing marks of a Prairie Falcon would be a very obvious malar
mark and no belly band-just streaks on the belly as opposed to the belly band of
the immy Red-tail.
