After getting the email from Sam Terry about the Say's Phoebe I headed over to Montlake to see if it was still around - no luck. However just to prove that "no good deed goes unpunished" i did find a CASSIN'S VIREO in the trees around the central pond - a lifer for me and a nice end to my tenure at the Fill.

Other cool things of interest

5 northern pintail (4 on the central pond, 1 out in Union Bay)
1 orange-crowned warbler
1 western wood-peewee
2 belted kingfishers
1 spotted sandpiper
10-15 barn swallows
2 wood ducks
1 lesser scaup
3 great blue herons

I heard a few least sandpipers flying overhead but they did not show any interest in stopping.
