Feature birds are Snowy Owl & Common Redpoll.

Sightings for Thursday, December 02

There was no relocation of the BOREAL OWL sighted at the Reifel Refuge
yesterday. Reported from the Refuge today were a NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL, a
MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE, & 40 COMMON REDPOLLS.

Observed at nearby Brunswick Point were 5 SNOWY OWLS, a GREAT HORNED OWL, 3
AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS, a SWAMP SPARROW & a SNOW BUNTING.
Two COMMON REDPOLLS were seen at the feeding station at Maplewood.

Tuesday, November 30th:

On Westham Island, a CATTLE EGRET was seen with sheep in a field along
Tamboline Rd.

Nearby at Reifel, the GYR FALCON was seen. Also reported were a
BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON, AMERICAN BITTERN, and MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE.

In Cloverdale, a CATTLE EGRET was seen at 16948 66th Ave. which is opposite
of the golf course. This bird has been present for 2 or 3 days.

At Brunswick Point, 5 SNOWY OWLS were present. Three were seen looking north
across Canoe Pass from the parking lot and 2 were on the foreshore at the
point.

At 34th St. and River Rd, a first year GLAUCOUS GULL was seen in a field.

At Boundary Bay, the immature GYR FALCON was seen at the foot of 88th St. A
SNOWY OWL was seen at the foot of 64th St.
