A Google search for "Judson Lake" and "swans" puts the Kevin Sinclair web site right up on top. It is:

http://www.judsonlaketrumpeterswans.ca/

Lots of interesting exact quotes here as well as some snippets that I would like to see in a larger context. The one quote
attributed to Washington Fish and Wildlife says that Judson Lake was not core sampled because "only the sick swans go there".
It doesn't make sense to me but I think it's missing something due the lack of context.

If Judson Lake is a roost, it stands to reason that swans picking up shot elsewhere would end up sickened and dying at the
lake where they spend the night.
