Phil Bartley reported 2 MOUNTAIN CHICKADEES at his Kennewick home near W
12th St on November 26. Eight PINE SISKINS were nearby near Kellogg and
4th. The MOUNTAIN CHICKADEES reported last alert remain in the vicinity of
Enterprise and Benton Streets off Snyder in North Richland. The PINE
SISKINS at Two Rivers Park remain in the alders along the nature trail.

Jeff Coker reported a NORTHERN SHRIKE near Vantage 1.3 miles south of I-90
on November 27. Closer to home, a Northern Shrike has been seen near the
WSU campus recently.

There were 2 EURASIAN WIGEON near Clover Island in Kennewick on November 27
reported by Jim and Annet Dittmer.

On November 28, Margaret Greger had a WESTERN SCREECH-OWL hooting in her
Richland yard.

A SAY'S PHOEBE was reported by Craig Swanson in his Benton City yard on
December 4. Say's Phoebes occasionally over-winter so they are rare this
time of year.

Tony Greager found a good assortment of birds on December 5. He found 5
FOX SPARROWS, a PEREGRINE FALCON, 3 PACIFIC LOONS and a Common Loon at
McNary Park at McNary Dam near Hermiston OR. He also relocated a
WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH at Hood Park and observed 2 CATTLE EGRETS along
Lake Road in Burbank. Turn left on Lake Road off Hwy 124 just east of the
Snake River Bridge and check the yards with cattle.

Dennis Rockwell also saw a CATTLE EGRET flying over Finley Road near Two
Rivers County Park in Kennewick on December 5.

To report your own sightings, please give your name, phone number, date,
and sightings after the tone. Thank you.
