I googled him (yes, it's now considered a verb) and
found this biography:

He is a nature writer (apparently a very prolific one).
The Google search turned up quite a few nature guide type
books with his name attached from beachcombing to wildflowers
to birds.

It would not appear that he is a birder per se, but this
does not necessarily disqualify him from writing a book
on common birds. I haven't seen the book, but wouldn't
expect to find a great depth of knowledge.

Buy Harry's book instead.
