Sunday December 12:
An AMERICAN KESTREL was seen on a Hydro line across Northwest Bay Road from the Woodmore Nursery in Nanoose Bay.
50 BLACK TURNSTONES, 25 SURFBIRDS, six BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS, 22 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS, a SPOTTED SANDPIPER, two WESTERN GREBES, five MARBLED MURRELETS, one RHINOCEROS AUKLET and two COMMON MURRES were seen off shore at Neck Point Park in Nanaimo.
Five TRUMPETER SWANS, 200 MEW GULLS, nine GREATER SCAUP and 200 AMERICAN WIGEON were seen at the Nanoose Estuary.

Wednesday December 08:
Two SNOW GEESE and twoTRUMPETER SWANS were spotted at the Nanoose Estuary.

Tuesday December 07:
Two BRANT, four CACKLING and a GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were seen on the Parksville Flats in Parksville.
ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS are coming to feeders in the 6700 block of Aulds Road in Nanaimo.
