On December 9, Bob Woodley and Nancy LaFramboise birded North Richland and
found a good variety of birds. There was a WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH on
Harris Street about 1/2 block north of Newcomer. The previously reported
MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE remained off Snyder Street at Benton Street. There were
3 COMMON REDPOLLS in the birch trees near the Battelle building at the
corner of 9th and Richardson. One remained on December 11. And finally
there was a very late WESTERN TANAGER on Harris at Spengler.

Thirteen GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE remained in Columbia Park on December
11 as reported by Bill and Nancy LaFramboise.

The LCBAS Christmas Bird Count will be held on January 1. To participate,
choose one of the meeting places and be there at 7:30. For Richland, meet
at Howard Amon Park. In Kennewick meet at the Columbia Park Nature
Trail. In Pasco, meet at Sacajawea Park. Teams will be sent out from
there. If your feeder is in the count circle, count your birds. Feeder
reports can be brought to the potluck or sent to LCBAS, PO Box 1900,
Richland (but don't delay!). Questions? Call Phil Bartley at 783-5265.

To report your own sightings, please give your name, phone number, date,
and sightings after the tone. Thank you.
