This is the northern Idaho / eastern Washington / northeastern Oregon bird

A BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was seen by Paul Wik and Jennifer Soules during
the Coeur d'Alene CBC on December 18th, then again located by Stephen
Johnson, Nancy Mertz and Shirley Sturts on December 19th at Coeur d'Alene
City Park in Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai County, ID.

Shirley Sturts also reported a PACIFIC LOON on Hayden Lake, ID and a
LONG-TAILED DUCK on the Spokane River at Post Falls, ID found during the
Coeur d'Alene CBC on December 18th.

On December 13th, Lisa Hardy also reported a LONG-TAILED DUCK on Hayden Lake
from Honeysuckle Beach, Hayden Lake, Kootenai County, Idaho.

During the Walla Walla CBC on December 18th, Mike Denny found a HUTTON'S
VIREO in a mixed feeding flock of Black-capped Chickadees, Golden-crowned
Kinglets, Ruby-crowned Kinglets and Mountain Chickadees. This flock was
located at the Blue Mountain Archery Range off Blue Creek Rd. in the
foothills of the Blue Mountains east of Walla Walla, Walla Walla County, WA.
This bird has been relocated on December 19th & 20th. See WA DeLorme, pg 41,
D-7/8.

A BARRED OWL was found roosting on the University of Idaho Campus during the
Moscow-Pullman CBC on December 18th by Charles Swift. Charles also reported
a RUSTY BLACKBIRD in a large flock of starlings at UI Sheep Research Farm &
UI beef barns (main campus) in Moscow, Latah Co., ID.

The Moses Lake CBC in Moses Lake, Grant Co., WA took place on December 18th
and has reported three, yes three, GYRFALCONS for the day. See WA DeLorme
pg. 69. A GYRFALCON was also seen by Howard Ferguson at Swanson Lake
Wildlife Area near Creston, Lincoln Co., WA. See WA DeLorme pg. 86, C/D-4.

On December 12th, Doug Schonewald found two RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS on Banks
Lake along SR-155 about two miles south of Steamboat Rock State Park. See
WA DeLorme pg 85, B-7.
Doug also located a second winter GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL and a first winter
THAYER'S GULL on the log booms at Coulee Playland in Electric City, Grant
Co., WA. See WA DeLorme pg 85, A-8.

BLUE JAYS continue to be reported throughout the Inland Northwest--including
Cheney, WA; Cataldo, ID; Washtucna, WA; Spokane, WA; Coeur d'Alene, ID;
Walla Walla, WA; Viola, ID.
