A record number of species were recorded today during the Grays Harbor CBC.
The preliminary count total is 149 species. The previous high for this count
was 142 in 1975, according to Compiler, Bob Morse. Count highlights included
6 species of owls, Mountain Chickadee, Brown Pelican, Barn Swallow, and
three new CBC birds: Common Redpoll, California Quail, and two
Red-shouldered Hawks.
