For the past two nights, we've been hearing what we think is a bird calling.
We ruled out other critters because the calls come from above us, like from
trees. Either one bird calls, then moves swiftly to another area, or there
are two calling to each other. In any case, we believe they are moving around,
as the calls are close to us, then next far away.

We've listened to owl calls, but can't say any of them sound like what we've
heard. The only way I can describe it is that the call is like a Varied
Thrush on steroids. One long sound, like a whistle. Very loud.

Any thoughts?
