Hi Tweets,

Barb and I spend part of today with several folks from out of town searching
for Snowy Owls. We were able to find two birds, one of which was very
cooperative. This bird was just to the east of Road L between Road 4 & 5 SE.
At least ten birders showed up to view this immature bird as it perched
along and irrigation rill. Very nice.

We also spent a little time along Road K.5 SE (see DeLorme p. 53 6.5 top of
page) searching for sparrows. We were able to locate at least one American
Tree Sparrow and one Harris's Sparrow along this road. The tree sparrow was
located at the end of the brush row on the left where the cattails start.
The Harris's Sparrow was seen after going around the poplar trees on the
right to an irrigation ditch with heavy Russian-olive thickets.

Cheers
