Hello Tweeters & Birders,

It was a pleasure again going today looking manly for the Slaty-backed Gull for us,but there were also birders who are still looking for the Great Black-backed Gull.It really would help a lot for other birders to post your sighting and find out if they went to either find any of this 2 rare gulls or the missed it all together. It is also important to write the time down. The reason for this is to maybe this will establish a pattern when this birds been sighted at the time the most. For instance the Slaty-backed Gull was sighted twice in the morning and three times in the afternoon,so this gull is pretty elusive and seeing only if I am right by 5 parties in 12 days.
The bird was pretty close as we watched it bathing and stretching out and seeing the "string of pearls" three times, and since this gull was a dark slate color he was strikingly beautiful, only to watch it 5 minutes was really to short for me. My feeling is that this gull maybe staying over the winter where there would be a chance to see it again.

Cheers,
