Wouldn't it be better to phrase it: "if you're lucky you might see some of
the really cool rattlesnakes that live there".
I've got a great picture of one that I picked up on a stick at Umtanum to do
a modelling session for my borther Doug. With the stick facing the camera,
it looks like it's in my hand. (A different photo of that snake is now in
his book, "Rattlesnakes" Rosen publishing's Power Kids Press.)

If I were seeking a yellow breasted chat I would hike up Umtanum Creek
(south of Ellensburg) in the spring; I've seen them not far from the
trailhead. It's a great hiking and birding spot, but keep an eye out for
rattlesnakes in the spring & summer.
