An immature SNOWY OWL appears to be on the Rathdrum Prairie north of Post
Falls, Kootenai Co ID. It was seen on 22 Jan near the jct of Hayden Avenue
and Huetter Road by Eula Hickam. Perhaps the same bird was seen again on 28
Jan by Corinee Cameron at the jct of Hayden Avenue and ID 41. Many folks
have gone looking for this bird without success. If it is still around, it
may take some persistent searching to find. ID DeLorme 60, AB-1.

An adult RED-THROATED LOON was seen on the Columbia River near Wenatchee,
Chelan Co WA on 1 Feb by Dave Beaudette. Dave saw the bird near the
Wenatchee Confluence State Park. WA DeLorme 67, A-6.

Gina Sheridan reports an adult GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL flying around
Independence Point Park in Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai Co ID on 1 Feb. From US
95, follow Northwest Blvd east to the parking area just west of the CdA
Resort. ID Delorme 60, B-1.5.

The BLUE JAY is persisting at the feeder of Dave Holick northeast of Moscow,
Latah Co ID. This bird has been around for nearly 3 months. If you want to
try for it, give Dave a call at 208.882.5556.

SNOW BUNTINGS appear to be plentiful this winter in many of the Horned Lark
flocks found west of Spokane WA along the US 2 corridor, as well as in
Horned Lark flocks on the Rathdrum Prairie north of Post Falls, Kootenai Co
ID.
