Tweeters,
Turning Basin # 3 activity was more involved with dredging, not with birds today. My only highlight was the adult BALD EAGLE, which circled to the east of me, over the south end of Boeing Field, and then coasted north toward the Museum of Flight.

It appears as if someone has cleaned off the algae from quite a bit of the water-level marker on the pier across from my viewing spot, which makes it much easier to read.

Note: On Friday, Jan 30, the river was high and very muddy (lots of rain last Wed/Thurs), with a rather fast current. In this fast stream was a CALIFORNIA SEA LION--the first I've seen at Turning Basin #3--heading downstream and past the dredging barge.

Birds seen during this scan included the following:

Mallard
Common Merganser
Double-crested Cormorant
Bald Eagle
Glaucous-winged Gull (13)
Rock Pigeon (12)
Belted Kingfisher
American Crow (5)
Bewick's Wren (singing)
Song Sparrow

May all your birds be identified,

Denis DeSilvis
