Subject: turkey vulture report - very short!
Date: Feb 4 12:35:35 2004
From: Diann MacRae - tvulture at vei.net

Hi, Tweets

This will be the shortest turkey vulture report yet, I think. Not too many
reported this winter. From now on, any reports will probably be from
northward migrants which are already on their way. February is usually the
month when the forerunners appear.

Turkey vultures reported in January 2004 from Oregon, Washington, and
British Columbia:

11 Jan -- 1 at Brookings, Oregon
20 Jan -- 1 near Gold Beach, Oregon
28 Jan -- from OBOL "turkey vulture migration is apparently underway" - no
numbers given.
31 Jan -- 1 soaring at the Dungeness River mounth (with an adult female
peregrine, northern harrier, and sub-adult bald eagle - good company!)

Keep looking up!!

Cheers, Diann
