Hello Tweeters &Birders,
Today was one of this days since staying home was so rewarding. We always had Townsend's Warbler here in winter even feeding on the Suet feeders.Well we waited all winter no
Townsend's Warbler. But today we had two Townsend Warbler and one Golden-crowned Kinglet bathing for ever in our bird bath and than there preened least 10 minute's.Birds was exited today and you can almost feel that birds are feeling it to.We also had six Goldfinches, this are birds we usual don't get here in Fircrest
To bring the discussion up about Varied Thrushes feeding on Peanut's. Most all our birds feeding on unsalted Peanuts
and real attracted to it here. For the smaller birds as Red-breasted Nuthatches finches Juncos we grinding them finer. But the Stellers Jay's,there seem to take least 5 Peanu't at the time.We having 20 Varied Thrushes in our yard now.We can count them early in the morning sitting next to our patio upstairs in the vine Maple. This birds are lined up on the patio railing waiting that we put out the Peanuts. All this Varied Thrushes made a concert this morning with there flute like call. Our yard was busy today and birds seem to enjoying the sunshine to.Also to mention this is only the second time that we had this high count on Varied Thrushes.

Cheers Ruth Sullivan
