Hello All,
The Great Gray Owl just east of Walla Walla at Bennington Lake has been on the same perch all day. This afternoon about 35 Bohemian Waxwings arrived in the Cottonwood stand and proceeded to flycatch in the warm afternoon air above the Great Gray Owl. Many photos have been taken of this first Walla Walla Valley record Great Gray. This is the lowest elevation sighting I know of in Southeastern Washington, right at 1100'. Fun bird to see and watch.
