Subject: Prairie/Garry Oak habitat question

In an area that is thought to have been kept clear through burning by the
S'Homamish people on Vashon before the 1850's, a Garry Oak still stands. It
hasn't been cut, but based on size, some islanders think it is about 400 years
old. Camas root volunteers in some of the yards nearby.

Does anyone have any idea how much area/acreage would be sufficient to attract
some of the birds that inhabit the Pierce/Thurston Co. prairies?
