Hi Karen,

Well, you remind that at least one, possibly two(?), Yellow-billed Cuckoos
were observed delivered as prey items to nestling Peregrine Falcons at
the Washington Mutual eyrie.

I don't any birder in the area would have predicted the possibility of
Yellow-billed Cuckoos as prey of Seattle's urban Peregrine Falcons.

Often, nature doesn't behave according to our well-conceived and thoughtful
concepts of how it should behave.
