Greetings,

Today, I made a run up to Chelan to look for the Yellow-billed Loon found
last Saturday by Hugh Jennings. The bird was seen quite closely on the
Chelan River in town from Chelan Riverwalk Park, which is a trail on both
sides of the river. The trail is easy to access at different points, here
is how I did it.
Entering Chelan from the west on US 97A, continue on US 97A and cross the
Chelan River on the Dan Gordon Bridge. After crossing the bridge continue
several blocks north to Wapato Avenue, then go left [west] a little over a
block to parking and trail access. The loon was on the river here as well as
a little east and west. Viewed for 45 minutes beginning at noon.

Good Birding,
