Want to use your book-knowledge of birds to advance marine conservation?
Although we have over 200 volunteers surveying 100 sites -- spanning the
coasts of Oregon and Washington -- we need help indoors, at the UW home
office, now more than ever! The COASST program (Coastal Observation and
Seabird Survey Team) is seeking one or more dedicated volunteers to assist
in beached bird survey data entry and management (don't worry the duties
are ANYTHING but routine, and it WILL exercise the right & left
hemispheres of your brain). If you would consider making a 5-10 hour
weekly commitment, please contact the program coordinator, Dr. Todd Hass
at thass at u.washington.edu or (206) 221-6893 and be sure to check out our
website at www.coasst.org.
