Cascadia Hummingbird Report - Feb 23, 2004

There's was a pulse of Rufous Hummingbirds through southern
California and a single report from coastal Oregon and an Allen's
Hummingbird was reported from Brookings, OR

Waldport, OR 02/11/2004 44.4138 123.9775
Pasedena, CA 02/11/2004 34.1363 118.0862
Silverwood, CA 02/16/2004 34.2911 117.3275
Florence, OR 02/21/2004 43.9867 124.1031
Lompoc, CA 02/22/2004 34.6392 120.4569

In flower news, the very first frost bitten Salmonberry (_Rubus
spectabilis_) blooms were seen at monitoring sites. Willow is
well along in blooming as is the manzanita (_Arctostaphylos
columbiana_) along the south coast of Oregon.

If the nice weather continues, reports should start picking
up.

Half-a-bee, philosophically must ipso-facto half not-be.
But half the bee, has got to bee Vis-a-vis its entity...
d'you see?
But can a bee be said to be or not to be an entire bee
When half the bee is not a bee due to some ancient injury?
