A YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER was found on 19 Feb at Hood Park in Walla Walla
Co WA by Mike and MerryLynn Denny. The bird was also seen on 21 and 22 Feb.
It's in the small stand of pines. Hood Park is located at the jct of US 12
and WA 124, in northwest Walla Walla Co just southeast of Pasco. WA DeLorme
39, C-8.

Walla Walla Co WA gulls. On 16 Feb at the Wallula "poop" piles along US 12,
Matthew Moskwik found an adult GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL, two GLAUCOUS GULLS (an
adult and a first-year bird), the LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL first reported by
the Denny's on 14 Feb, and what appeared to be an adult ICELAND GULL, which
Matthew would love for someone to confirm. The "poop" piles are about 4
miles north of the jct of US 12 and US 730 along US 12. There's a nice
pull-out at US 12 milepost 303. WA DeLorme 40, D-1. On 22 Feb, Fred
Boesche, Scott Downes, and Charlie Wright found the LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL
along US 12 near Touchet. At the "poop" piles they found a juvy THAYER'S
GULL and 10 GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULLS. If you go looking for the LBBG, you
should also check along Hussey Road which heads south from US 12 at the
western end of College Place. WA DeLorme 41, D-5.

Three MEW GULLS were at Lyons Ferry SP on 22 Feb according to Charles Swift.
Lyons Ferry is in the southeast corner of Franklin Co, WA. This park is
right in the corner of Franklin, Whitman, Columbia and Walla Walla counties.
Access via WA 261. WA DeLorme 55, D-6.5.

The YELLOW-BILLED LOON on Lake Chelan, Chelan Co WA was seen on 16 Feb by
Dave Beaudette. It was first located about a week earlier by Hugh Jennings.
Dave viewed it from the trail along the Chelan River in the Chelan Riverwalk
Park. To get there when entering Chelan from the west on US 97A, cross the
Chelan River on the Dan Gordon Bridge and continue several blocks north to
Wapato Avenue, then go left (west) a little over a block to parking and
trail access. WA DeLorme 83, B-8.

The Moscow ID BLUE JAY was seen again on 18 Feb by Charles Swift, a few
blocks north of its usual haunt near the intersection of Hayes and 8th
Street.

The BLUE JAY is persisting at the feeder of Dave Holick northeast of Moscow,
ID. This bird has been around for 4 months. If you want to try for it, give
Dave a call at 208.882.5556.

A single SNOWY OWL was seen on 21 Feb along Detour Road in Lincoln Co WA by
Regine Snitzer and Al Winter. Chris Conard, reporting for Jim Acton, said
that on and around 16 Feb 2 SNOWY OWLS were in the Detour Road area, along
Morrison Road and Janet Road. Detour runs east-west a mile south of US 2
between Davenport and Reardan. WA DeLorme 87, C-8 and 88, C-1.

Three EURASIAN WIGEONS were in the boat launch area by the Corp of
Engineer's office in Clarkston, Asotin Co WA on 21 Feb according to Al
Winter. The office is north of the US 12 bridge along the Snake River.
