Thanks Ian. Have you read the book, *And No Birds Sing*? Accessibly written by an environmental journalist, it chronicles biologist Julie Savidge's research to determine the threat to Guam's birds. Savidge is cited in the Federal Register entry to which Ian referred. I have included two excerpts from the book's promo and its citation.

"A serial killer is on the loose, and the murder victims have been vanishing without a trace. The investigators are tripping over each other. The government doubts the whole story. A young heroine, Julie Savidge, must put the pieces together to solve this crime."

"It is the gripping tale of the battle between predators and prey, and of the scientists who struggled to restore the natural balance."
