Something I did when first trying to figure out dates for WA was to check
the Field Notes in the WOS Newsletter (subscribe at: www.wos.org) and the
PAC NW section of North American Birds (subscribe through:
http://www.americanbirding.org/). The editors of both these resources will
write about an early arriving or departing species (especially so with NAB
which will often say something like "20 Semipalmated Sandpipers was above
average, usually arriving in mid-blah blah, etc..."). If you don't want to
subscribe to either check the library at your school (I notice you have a U
of W domain) which should subscribe to both. Good luck this spring!
