Hello, this is the Audubon society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

The LUCY?S WARBLER continues to be seen at Sheila Chamber?s hummingbird
feeder in Brookings. The Finley NWR TUFTED DUCK also is still being seen.

Early migrations are now underway. SAY?S PHOEBES, CINNAMON TEAL, SANDHILL
CRANES, and BALD EAGLES are moving north with sightings increasing in the
state. AMERICAN ROBINS are now swarming into the Willamette Valley.

The wintering GYRFALCON on the North Spit of Coos Bay is still being seen,
as is the Baskett Slough GYR. Another is near the airport south of
Corvallis.

An adult GOSHAWK was in Florence February 22; another was at Finley NWR
February 24. A first winter plumaged GLAUCOUS GULL was at 33d and Marine
Drive in North Portland February 24. An out of place SAGE SPARROW is now on
Linda Fink?s farm in Grande Ronde.

On February 21 a flock of 20 TRICOLORED BLACBIRDS was at Huston Lake near
Powell Butte. Large flocks of SNOW and ROSS?S GEESE are now in the Klamath
Basin.

That?s it for this week.
