Tyler,
The best site guide to TT is William L. Murphy's (1995) "A Birder's Guide to
Trinidad and Tobago", pub. by Peregrine Enterprises, Inc. and presumably
available still via ABA, etc. The TT guide by Richard ffrench has fairly
poor plates but good background information on the birds. I take a bound
copy of the Venezuela plates to show my tour participants good
representations of the birds. I just returned from my third TT tour, and
each one has been a fine experience. I lead VENT tours to TT in December
and February.
Best wishes, Bob

for me and my parents next Christmas. Unfortunately, we're having trouble
finding a way to get to Cuba (Bush has recently made it extra difficult), so
we're looking at a few other places. My parents are getting pretty excited
at the prospect of Trinidad & Tobago. For my latest request for
information, anybody have any information on birding/visiting T&T, such as
hotspots, accomodations, nature reserves, and the like?
