A new year on the Duwamish River at Turning Basin #3 (location: opposite the Museum of Flight (Boeing property), Seattle, WA (47deg 30.810N; 122 deg 18.162W), with many of the usual suspects in attendance. The ducks appear to be paired up (3 pairs of COMMON MERGANSERS; two pairs of GADWALL; three pairs of MALLARD (with an extra drake with one of the pairs)); a BEWICK'S WREN sang what sounded to me like a misinterpreted Song Sparrow tune. I'm looking forward to yet another year of checking things out on this industrial river area.
