Hi Tweeters,

As Randy Hill mentioned in his e-mail earlier today, I did finally make it to Hoquiam to see the Pink-footed Geese. Wednesday afternoon presented a moderate to heavy rainfall which required an umbrella to keep from getting soaked. The geese didn't cooperate and stayed well hidden behind the Canadas. Thursday proved to be much better. I was able to get a couple of good photos. The proverbial dog came in and flushed all of the geese which gave me a chance to see the PFGO in flight.

I also got a photo of a Rock Sandpiper at the marina in Westport, where there were ten with a moderate-sized flock of Surfbirds and Black Turnstones.

On the way to Seattle Thursday afternoon we stopped by Nisqually to get the Ross's Geese on the 2004 list. They were near the entrance road with many Canadas. I got a photo of the geese in a hard snowfall.

All of the photos mentioned are in the New Photos folder on my website (link is in the signature line).

I hope you enjoy seeing them.
