Since many have been expressing concern about hummingbirds
during this cold snap, I thought a reference to hummingbird
metabolism might be useful. I have scanned the relevant
parts of the accounts for Anna's and Rufous Hummingbirds
from Bird of North America.

Anna's and Rufous Hummingbirds deal with temperature changes
in different ways mostly associated with the differences between
migratory and non-migratory lifestyles.

Half-a-bee, philosophically must ipso-facto half not-be.
But half the bee, has got to bee Vis-a-vis its entity...
d'you see?
But can a bee be said to be or not to be an entire bee
When half the bee is not a bee due to some ancient injury?
