I live in Anacortes where it has been brrrr cold just like in your
backyards. I have two hummingbird feeders that I have to alternate every
hour or so because they freeze up. I have three Anna's who have been
regular feeders since late October. I also feed suet, thistle, black oil,
and Rainier mix. This brings in an incredible assortment of winter
Sparrows, Juncos, Siskins, a Flicker or two, and today a male Varied Thrush.
When it gets down in the teens like it did last night, I wonder how a little
Anna's can possibly live through the night. I was cold with an electric
blanket!!!
