Good Morning Tweets

Just looked out at the squabbling "robins" under our apple tree (some of
the downed apples are still there). Turns out that 10 of those "robins"
are Varied Thrushes. This is the highest number we have had in our yard
during the 9 years we have been in the house. We are located on
Hollywood Hill above Woodinville at an elevation of about 550 feet.
Before a day or so ago, the birds mostly working the downed apples over
were European Starlings and American Robins. The heavy snows have
certainly brought the Varied Thrushes down. The colors certainly stand
out and appear bright against the brilliant white of the snow. Looks
like we have gotten about 2-3 inches of snow this morning.
