Subject: Varied Thrushes

I, too, saw varied thrushes. They were in two different places at Seward
Park, mixed in with robins in the trees.

It was a very good day for interesting sightings: kinglets, ring-necked
ducks, common and hooded mergansers, killdeer, gadwall, coots,
buffleheads, goldeneyes, cormorants, mallards, grebes. Everyone was
conserving energy in the cold, so they stood around and let me approach
closer than usual, too. Chickadees, bushtits, woodpeckers.
