Subject: Crows in the Downtown Seattle Snow

It's been interesting to read about all the bird activity at feeders. I
was walking around at noon in a barren looking downtown Seattle, Pioneer
Square area. The snow was packed in on the sidewalks with the
occasional crow hopping around. They looked so hungry and forlorn.
They actually stared up at me with this look that seemed to indicate
they would be very happy for a handout. I wonder where they get their
food on snowy days like this. I wish I had some spare bird feed to give
them. All those birds in backyards and out in the country are cashing
in on the feeders, but not the poor crows in downtown.
