I just got home from work early, and have been enjoying our Granny Smith
apple tree which always has unripe apples hanging through the winter. This
afternoon there are also 25 Varied Thrushes hanging in the tree nibbling on
the apples! Also 5 robins, a red-breasted sapsucker and a flicker. On the
other side of the house at the feeders are another 10 varied thrushes as
well. We always have varied thrushes in the winter, but I think this is a
new high number.
