This afternoon in the snow I saw 45 species at Juanita Bay Park including the following:

Common Loon - 2 or 3
Virginia Rail - saw one very well off the middle boardwalk, heard 4 others
SORA - a dark bird seen for 30 seconds from 8 feet away off the bridge
Wilson's Snipe - 2 solitairy birds sitting still in the snow
Red-breasted Sapsucker -1 adult
Hairy Woodpecker - 1 female
Varied Thrush - 1 male
Lincoln's Sparrow - 1 near west boardwalk

I also saw a Red-necked Grebe in Lake Washington from my house this afternoon. My mom saw the local Barred Owl fly across Forbes Creek Drive last evening.

Good Birding,
