I went to the grocery store tonight for some inclement-weather supplies and got an unexpected bonus. I noticed something flitting around the freezers in the frozen foods section. I figured it would be a House Sparrow (I had seen one in another grocery store about 2 weeks ago), but on closer inspection it turned out to be a Ruby-crowned Kinglet.

She seemed to be in OK condition and flew away when I approached. Hope she made it back outside--or at least found something to eat!
